Through this scholarship, we aim to empower students who have overcome challenges in pursuit of their academic and personal goals.
We invite students who have been diagnosed with a disability to share their experiences of perseverance. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit a compelling essay (500–1,000 words) detailing their personal journey and the valuable lessons they have learned. The selected winner will be awarded $2,500.
The deadline for submission is August 31, 2025. All essays will be carefully reviewed for consideration.
Application Requirements
The Path to Perseverance Scholarship is open to any undergraduate or graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- 3.0 GPA (include unofficial transcript)
- Enrolled in or admitted to an accredited college, university, or graduate school
- Be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to attend school or work in the U.S.
- Write an essay on the proposed topic and submit the file through the form
- Apply using the form on this page
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions
- Send evidence of a disability (diagnosis)
Applicants who fulfill these requirements, provide all required application materials, and accept the scholarship’s terms and conditions will be considered for the applicant pool.

Scholarship Essay Topic
At our law firm, we understand that living with a disability presents unique challenges that affect various aspects of daily life. We want to hear about a specific obstacle you’ve encountered and how it impacted you. Your story of perseverance could inspire others who are going through similar struggles.
Please share the challenges you faced (whether personal, professional, or social) and describe the steps you took to overcome them. Your experience and the strategies you used to navigate these obstacles can provide valuable insight into the strength and resilience you’ve developed.

For your essay to be eligible, please include:

Scholarship Application Deadline
The deadline to apply is August 31, 2025.
Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
After the deadline, our scholarship selection committee will review all applications. Depending on the number of submissions, the review process may take up to three months. If further information is needed, our team will contact the student directly.

Terms and Conditions

- Applicant must be in good academic standing.

- Applicant must have a diagnosed disability.
Students who meet the following conditions are not eligible to apply:
- Employees or children of employees of ERISA Insurance Claim Attorneys
- Previous recipients of The Path to Perseverance Scholarship
- Applicants unable or unwilling to participate in an interview with a representative of ERISA Insurance Claim Attorneys if awarded the scholarship
- Applicants who submit the same essay for multiple scholarships or consecutive years
Selection & Award Notification Process
All applications must be submitted by the deadline specified on the application page. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
A scholarship selection committee will review applications. The decision will be made without regard to age, race, religion, gender, national origin, familial status, or any other protected class.
Due to legal constraints and the volume of applications, we cannot respond to inquiries about application status or provide individual notifications to non-winners. The scholarship recipient will be notified via email, and the results will be posted on the ERISA Insurance Claim Attorneys’ blog and shared through a press release.
The scholarship award will be sent directly to the recipient’s college or university. Mailing instructions will be requested when the award is granted. We may contact the winner for further information or documentation to verify enrollment and academic standing.
