El Paso Accidental Death Insurance Attorney

Helping Individuals in El Paso Obtain Accidental Death Insurance Benefits

Individuals subscribe to accidental death policies in order to help ensure that their loved ones will be protected in the event of their untimely death due to an accident. During the insured’s lifetime, the insured designates someone as a beneficiary under the policy. If the insured is then later killed in an accident, the beneficiary is entitled to make a monetary claim for monetary benefits under the insurance policy.

Even though insureds pay their premiums on a regular basis and do everything else that they are supposed to do under their policy, insurance companies are still never on their side. While insurance companies make their money by collecting premiums from their insureds, they lose money when they have to pay out benefits in accidental death claims. Consequently, the insurance company will do everything that it possibly can to try and deny a claim — or at least limit its exposure once a claim is filed.

If you are a beneficiary on an accidental death policy and you have been denied benefits, you should contact an experienced El Paso accidental death insurance attorney as soon as possible. At the Law Offices of J. Price McNamara. Please contact us online today for more information and to schedule a free case evaluation and legal consultation.

Policy Exclusions

When a beneficiary makes a claim under an accidental death policy, the insurance company may try and allege that the circumstances of the insured’s death fall within a policy exclusion. Policy exclusions are provisions in an insurance policy that eliminate coverage under certain circumstances. In the case of accidental death, an insurance policy may exclude deaths that occur because of suicide or self-inflicted injury by the insured that led to the insured’s untimely death. In the event a policy exclusion applies, the beneficiary may not be entitled to accidental death benefits under a policy.

Our number-one goal is getting you and your family back to financial security as soon as possible.

What is an Accidental Death?

Accidental death policies provide insurance coverage to the named beneficiary in the event the insured dies in an accident. Bonafide accidents happen all the time and can lead to a claim for accidental death benefits. Covered claims may include deaths that occur as a result of a motor vehicle collision, boating accident, slip and fall accident, or drowning. The insurance policy language will specifically state what kinds of accidents may give rise to an accidental death benefits claim.
